NewDay Foundation begins as a charitable organization
The Healthcare Foundation of LaPorte has donated their Cancer Patient Fund balance of $100,919 to the NewDay Foundation, which will oversee all cancer patient applications and requests. The NewDay Foundation is thankful for the opportunity to grow our outreach with the support of the Healthcare Foundation of La Porte.
The mission of the NewDay Foundation is to help cancer patients as they struggle with the everyday challenges of treatments and the obstacles that they may face.
How NewDay helps local cancer patients:
NewDay is also committed to bringing music into the lives of those who recognize the benefits of music as an alternative form of therapy. The foundation has also started a Connie Yagelski-Marhanka Music Scholarship. It’s a scholarship given to high school seniors that are pursuing a future in music. The scholarship winners are announced and presented with their checks at the concert each year. It was a dream of Connie’s to help inspire young musicians to follow their dreams and aspirations in the field of music. Her dreams have become a reality at last.
